Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of life coaching?

Life coaching exists to help guide individuals to reach their best and highest self. Through coaching, people develop the increased awareness, practical tools, and capabilities to build the habits to get to their ideal self.

How does life coaching work?

Coaching isn't advice-giving, it's a structured conversation. We start by building awareness of what's really going on beneath the surface, then experiment with changes through action rather than just talk, and work toward consistency so the change actually holds. Deep down, you usually already have more answers than you think; my job is to help you access them.

Why do people seek life coaching?

People seek coaching when they feel imbalanced in one area of life or perhaps even in their whole life. For example, someone might want to nourish character traits such as increased self confidence, or people may struggle with their romantic relationships or feel they’re hitting a career stagnation. Typically someone might have a specific challenge, obstacle, debate or big contemplation in life that they want to unpack.

What type of person benefits from having a life coach?

Someone who already senses that something needs to shift, even if they can't yet name what. You don't need a crisis or a clear goal to start. You need a willingness to get honest about the gap between how you're living and how you actually want to feel.

What matters in a coach/ client relationship?

Chemistry is important. Coaching can be a vulnerable experience which requires a client to feel safe to be open. This takes trust, safety, and braveness. It’s important to note that the coaching/client relationship is an equal relationship dynamic.

But what if a coach is not an expert in my challenge?

Coaches do not need to be  know everything there is to know about your challenge. The real area of expertise of a life coach Is the ability to understand the client.

What might some potential outcomes from coaching be?

Clients leave sessions with more clarity than they walked in with, and with a concrete next step rather than a vague intention. Over time, that clarity compounds into real decisions and real changes.

Clients have made peace with a chapter of their life they'd been grieving without naming it. Others have made a concrete decision they'd been stuck on for months, whether a move, a relationship to their diet, or a career change. They built the confidence to follow through on it.

One client realized the city she missed wasn't really the problem, she missed the version of herself she got to be in that city.

Is it worth getting a life coach?

If you feel that making changes in your life is valuable and worth it, then yes. Coaching has a domino effect in all the realms of your life, so you will see overall differences in not just what you originally came seeking coaching for, but the other aspects of your life as well.

How much does life coaching cost?

Costs will vary based on package. When evaluating the cost of coaching it is also worth considering the potential return coaching could bring to you. Please book a discovery call to find out more.
